Establishment Background
Founded in 1960, Taipei Medical University (TMU) has cultivated over 40,000 healthcare professionals over the past half-century, serving society across the globe.
In recent years, TMU's vision has shifted toward cultivating biomedical talent with "innovative capabilities." A key focus of this innovation is expanding interdisciplinary education upon the foundation of a medical university. To aggregate and expand resources, the university established its 11th college in 2018—the College of Interdisciplinary Studies—dedicated to developing educational initiatives in knowledge and skills beyond medicine.
Organizational Structure & Mission
With "an integrated platform for diverse learning" as its core, the College of Interdisciplinary Studies integrates teaching and resources across campus. It consists of four parallel specialized units, each dedicated to guiding students through interdisciplinary exploration and hands-on practice.
